Kaeleb's New Snake

Here is hatch#2, Kaeleb has named it Thomas
If you look in the picture below, the bottom egg in the group of three, bottom left corner you can see yet another head peeking out!

Here are our two babies, Daelin's is completely out of his egg, in the top left corner of the little container. Kaeleb's is peeking out of the egg in the middle of the container. We aren't sure if any of the other eggs are hatching as they are buried and we can't see them. When Kaeleb's baby comes completely out of his egg we'll have a better idea if there are more.
There is Kaeleb's little baby that he wants to name Thomas.
Here is Richard removing Daelin's snake from the incubator.

Here is the first of our hatches. Pretty amazing to think he came out of that tiny egg! Daelin would like to name him lucky as he has a lucky spot on his head. In Borzoi it is called "the kiss of the czar"
Here he is in his new home.

Shadow's Baby

The Hillview Zoo is very proud to announce our first hatchling California King Snake! It may take a couple days for the baby to fully emerge from its egg and then we'll post some more pics. We are all very excited! In fact Richard's hands were shaking after he checked the egg box :-) It took 62 days from laying to hatching that's a long wait but well worth it. We may end up with more than one but we aren't counting our snake babies before they hatch!
Daelin will be keeping this one!

Richard re-decorated his aviary this past weekend and the birds just loved it. He never did close it down over the winter so they've had access to the outdoors year round!

(above) This little guy is singing his heart out for whichever female will listen :-)

Above is a Durango...
Not sure who that is above...(I can't keep track anymore)
That is our baby Russian Rat whom Daelin named Burmie
Above is Oliver and I believe he's a Mexican Black King Snake. We have also got him a mate and named her Addita.

Ok, above is one of the newer additions to our family. I'm not sure what kind of snake this one is, and its also unnamed as well, pretty though.
Above is everyone's favourite - Percy!
I believe this is Juri our Russian Rat snake.
